Teacher and Minister of Music

A native of Michigan, Mr. Michael Halamka has served Baltimore City Schools in various teaching positions for 20 years. He has taught Pre-K through 6th Grade in all subjects and middle school Science and Social Studies. As a teacher, he strives to inspire kindness and excellence in his students.

As a patron of the Arts, Michael has experience in band and marching band (tuba), piano, puppetry, script writing, vocal choir (singing, accompanying, and directing), handbells (playing and directing), photography, community theater, and keyboard music ministry.

Michael has achieved an Associate Degree in Arts (St. Clair County Community College), a Bachelor Degree in Journalism and Advertising with minors in Psychology and Piano Music (Central Michigan University), and a Master Degree in Education Technology (Grand Canyon University).

Michael was a cofounder of two Michigan non-profits: AIDS Services - Thumb Area and Blue Water Pride. He believes that building communities, service to others, revealing the beauty of God's Creation, and promoting equality for all are among his noble attributes. Michael is an avid gardener, traveler, and lover of nature.
