Fransheska Rivera

Support Staff

Hello, my name is Fransheska, I am an ESOL paraeducator/ IEP Support Staff.

I was born on the beautiful Island of Puerto Rico, my family then moved to New York City when I was five years of age. I was raised in the South Bronx streets, where hip hop originated from. I attended Samuel Gompers & Technical Education High School. While attending Samuel Gompers, I grew an interest in Criminal Justice, where I later enrolled in NYU for Criminal Justice classes while in the eleventh grade & receiving my certificate of completion. Later in 2009, I then transferred and attended Chesapeake High School for architecture in Baltimore, Maryland. I graduated receiving my high school diploma in computing.

In 2013, I attended Fortis Institute for Dentistry, finishing the program and receiving my Dental Degree. I am ADP/CPR certified & I also hold a radiologist technician certificate. I worked in dentistry for 10 years and decided to make a career change. I’ve always loved working with kids. I’ve volunteered in schools and trips. I have 5 years of babysitting under my belt. I took an interest in teaching, so I proceeded to take my paraeducator classes, test & passed, receiving my certification to help teach kids.

I currently am a paraeducator at Hazelwood Elementary School for grades Pre-k through 2nd. I have a passion for teaching and helping kids strive and succeed. I have been working with kids for over a decade and will continue to do so.  I am very excited for this next opportunity in being a part of Moving History & helping kids learn, discover, and become open to the endless possibilities they have at their reach.

On my downtime, I love to make flower vases for center pieces, I do acrylic nails, cook and spend quality time with my kids.
