Daschall Grade

Hello, I'm Daschall C. Grade, a 37-year-old African American man proudly hailing from the vibrant streets of Baltimore City. As an OST (Out-of-school Time) sports and academic instructor at City Neighbors High School, my journey in guiding and nurturing young minds began in 2008, fueled by an unwavering passion for youth development.

Currently, I serve as the Behavioral Support Coordinator at City Neighbors High School, where I draw from my own upbringing in Baltimore City, to advocate for and empower our youth. Recognizing the pivotal role of positive mentorship, I strive to be a guiding light, echoing the support I once received.

In my final semester pursuing an AAS degree in Human Service Counseling, specializing in Behavioral Health Counseling, I am poised to embark on the next chapter of my academic journey at UMBC. There, I aspire to delve deeper into the complexities of human psychology through a bachelor's degree program.

Beyond the realm of academia and mentorship, I find solace in the pages of books, the tranquility of meditation, the thrill of sports, and the camaraderie of live sporting events. Yet, above all, my heart finds its greatest joy in sharing moments with my beloved wife and two children.

An intriguing facet of my past is my tenure as the team captain and starting point guard for Lake Clifton High School's basketball team from 2001 to 2005. Those years instilled in me invaluable lessons in leadership, teamwork, and resilience that continue to resonate in my endeavors today.
