Carrie Nelson is a dynamic HR leader with 14 years of experience across the full spectrum of Human Resource Management. From recruitment and onboarding to performance strategy, policy development, and employee relations, she brings both expertise and energy to every facet of her work.

A proud native of Prince George’s County, Maryland, Carrie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the illustrious Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD, and went on to receive her Master’s in Human Resource Management from The Catholic University of America. She is also a certified Senior HR Practitioner (SHRM-SCP), recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management.

Currently serving as our Human Resources Manager, Carrie applies her strategic insight and people-first philosophy to help our nonprofit grow with clarity, equity, and heart. Whether she’s rolling out new policies or launching team-building initiatives, she’s all about creating workplaces where people — and missions — can thrive.
